Called to get a tarp but the guy told us that we didn't need one there. He looked at the damage from the ground and eventually gave us a quote. I was willing to do the roof repair with this company but then I didn't here anything so I called. It appears that the guy that gave us the quote no longer worked for the company. The guy I talked to said he would come out today and give us a quote. We got ghosted. Don't rely on this company to do anything for you.

I called about a quote regarding hurricane damage to a property in Augusta, GA. Guy named Dean came out to give an estimate and was very quick to respond initially. After seeing the property and inspecting the damage, Dean called to say he would have another guy give a second look because of damage to a firewall. Never heard anything back. Waiting for the estimate, I called Dean to see where it was as it had been a few days. He said he would send it over first thing the next day. He did not, until I called (his direct line first, no answer) the Buckhead roofing office and the receptionist put him on the phone. The estimate I finally received had a single dollar amount with no breakdown of line items or scope of work to be addressed. My insurance adjuster basically laughed at it because the estimate was twice the estimated cost from insurance with no explanation as to why. Having been a contractor myself, this looks like pricing out a customer to get rid of or avoid doing the job for other easier possible more lucrative jobs. I get it, I've been there, but never so blatant. Called Dean to let him know o would need an itemized estimate. That was five days ago and I've called a Dean at least 3 times since to hear nothing but excuses and empty promises. Anyways I'm done trying with this company. Totally unprofessional and reception was rude when I called to leave a complaint, so they don't care either. I don't know what company to recommend, but do know which one to avoid. Having read the other posters review I'm glad it didn't work out with Buckhead, maybe it was for the best and I've avoided a scammer. I will never not tell people to avoid this business. I will go out of my way, every time someone mentions roof work, to let them know not to use this business. All Dean had to do was follow through with his word, Deans word is useless. P.S. I've gotten two fully itemized estimates from two other companies in the time that I've been waiting for Dean.

Called for a quote and a Marquell Jefferson came to look at the repair I needed. Still have not received the quote and keeps trying to tell me repairs I need that I didn’t call and inquire about.

Haven't checked for leaks yet, but roof looks good, a person can hear the rain vs a shingle roof, but we like that.

Michael Cain was awesome and SO PROFESSIONAL! He got us the best deal possible and worked with us through out a very hard time. We can’t wait to finish all this process but we are in relief that we can count on him, we know we are going to be in good hands.

I had them come out and do an estimate on my roof post Hurricane Helene. Honestly the guy was very friendly but the quote I received was simply incredulous. They wanted to charge me, or my insurance, $14450.00 to replace 34 shingles and repair two small places where the roofing felt had been exposed. That's $7000.00 more than my neighbor paid for a full roof replacement, with 120 MPH wind rated shingles, with another company. My mind was blown. I felt like because I was a woman, they were trying to pull one over by way over charging. Do your due diligence; get more than one opinion.EDIT* Micheal, who did my quote, called me to clarify the quote was for a full replacement. Micheal is a super personable guy and my issue is not with him; He alone could have earned my business. It's more the cost for materials and labor as dictated by the company as a whole. But I still cant believe the higher cost compared to other companies in the area. My insurance definitely wouldn't cover that high of a sticker price. Unfortunately I still have to look elsewhere.

I selected them because of the 5-star reviews. I suppose every situation warrants an outlier. Was given a $9K+ estimate that included words like "tear off", and "install". I provided them with the insurance company's scope of work and estimated total of $12K. Their estimate then ballooned to $13.5K because their "estimation software" didn't include labor with the $9K estimate- despite the labor words "install" and "tear off". Oh well. Go ahead and hire them based on the other 5-star reviews. My situation must be another glitch in the matrix.

I had the pleasure of working with Blake Baggett, who came out to my rental home in Mt. Pleasant, SC, to assess whether an attic fan could be installed. Blake thoroughly inspected both the roof and attic and provided the most honest evaluation I have ever received from a contractor. Instead of trying to upsell me, he pointed out that my rental property already had plenty of insulation, a ridge vent, and radiant barrier foil—everything it needed to stay efficient. Blake took the time to educate me on when an attic fan is actually necessary, ultimately advising that nothing more was needed. His integrity and professionalism were refreshing, and I highly recommend him for any roofing or attic work. It's rare to find such honesty in this industry!

Mr. MckEthan did a great job throughout the entire process of repairing my home. Initially, the insurance company was not going to cover the repairs. However, he was able to quickly get the insurance company to cover the cost of repairing the entire roof. I would recommend not only him, but also the entire hardworking roofing crew, for your next roof repair.

From the beginning of the process until the end. Buckhead Roofing was professional. courteous and efficient. All employees that we dealt with from initial estimate, to scheduling, to the project manager as the work was ongoing to the conclusion of the job was great.

The answering service was a little off-putting. Stuart did a excellent job selling his company's ability and explained his position and that he would be overseeing all of the work. The crew doing the roof did a excellent job at removing the roof and cleanup. The gutters they installed work very well and they put the downspout where I wanted them. Great quick service!A little background: we bought a house and on the inspection sheet it mentioned some screws had been backed out. Called a few places and had other places never get back to me or just didn't show up.Came across Buckhead on Google and gave them a call. John came out right away and within a few minutes had found all the screws that needed attention as well as identifying that the seal on our chimney needed some attention. Once I agreed with the reasonable price, John got up there and had everything fixed quick. He spent some time to go over things to watch for with the roof (my first metal roof home) and even gave me some advice on some carpenter bees that have been bugging us.Overall this was a great experience after having a lot of frustration with the other companies. I would highly recommend Buckhead Roofing and John specifically for any roofing jobs you may need.
