Review of Buckhead Roofing: A Complete Lack of Professionalism and CommunicationI strongly advise staying as far away as possible from Buckhead Roofing. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. I initially contacted them in September 2024 to replace two roofs on our property, and everything started off relatively smoothly. I spoke with a representative named Michael, who seemed communicative and provided updates, and we were set to begin once the shingles arrived.However, the situation quickly took a turn for the worse. As winter came and went, I didn’t hear from anyone, and I assumed delays were due to weather. Then, in February 2025, I received a call from a man named Granger, who stated he was taking over for Michael. He informed me that he needed to re-measure the roof and was already on-site—without any prior communication or scheduled appointment. This was my first major red flag, and I should have canceled right then.The project was supposed to begin on Thursday, March 21, 2025, with shingles scheduled to arrive the day before, March 20. On Tuesday, March 18, I received a generic message from Buckhead Roofing asking me to clear the perimeter of the house to prepare for roof replacement on Friday, March 21, 2025. However, the shingles never arrived on March 20, leading me to believe the project was still set for Friday, based on the message I received.But then, on Thursday morning, my elderly mother informed me that Buckhead Roofing arrived with ten workers and started tearing off the roofs of both houses, completely without warning or confirmation of the date or time. They began work but quickly ran out of shingles to finish even one of the roofs. Granger told me they would order more shingles and return on Friday to finish the job.When Friday came, by noon, the company had not shown up. I called Granger, and he told me they were having difficulty acquiring the shingles. At 3 p.m., Stewart from the company arrived in his personal vehicle with the additional shingles, promising they would return on Saturday morning to complete the work.As of now, after multiple calls with no responses or updates from Buckhead Roofing, they have not shown up, and the project remains unfinished. This lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customer service is beyond unacceptable.BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their lack of follow-through and failure to communicate at every step of the process has been incredibly frustrating. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I highly recommend finding a different, more reliable roofing company.

Now that the work is mostly done, I feel safer posting about our experience with Buckhead. While they were quick to send estimates and requests for payment, any other communication took extreme effort for even the smallest bit of information. Notably, Kaleb Grimsley never responded to any inquiries about starting dates so that we could clear the area where they’d need to park their vehicles or a general break down of the process after the down payment was sent. I emailed, texted, and called him, yet received no response even after their main office tried to reach him.I did get help from someone in corporate named Sean with the initial getting started on the roof repair. Afterwards when more work was paid for to be done, he became immediate difficult to contact and I was given the run around for days about the new work order. When someone did finally arrive for the new work, they had the wrong color of facing and now had to reorder which took another week.As of now, the work is still not fully completed and is no where near the service or quality I would have expected given how much I paid.

Curtis was very knowledgeable and professional I was especially glad at the quick service once we were able to get the ball rolling. I would highly recommend this company for you roofing needs.

My roof looks good and I'm told it was done well, but it took a while to get there. My rating has more to do with dishonesty and negligence.First, they tried to gouge me for $18k+. Since I didn't know what a new roof costs, I didn't know it was way overestimated. The insurance company was only willing to pay ~$11k. A Buckhead supervisor took over and provided a new quote of ~$15k.Second, after a bad adjuster said it was a 20-shingle repair job, the gouger who wrote up the replacement estimate said he was surprised it wasn't leaking, and I was lucky. While water never came through the ceiling, ceiling damage was obvious 2 months after the original estimate. The gouger never offered to install a tarp or suggested I have someone install a tarp. I couldn't have known to do so since I never got on the roof and saw there was an actual hole. That would come as a surprise later.Third, I had a contract with Buckhead that said they would accept what insurance paid, but they refused to do the job for the ~$11k. They finally agreed to accept $13k. I didn't want to start over, so I agreed to pay difference.Finally, after agreeing to pay the difference, all I asked of the supervisor who had taken over for the gouger was that a picture be taken off the decking where the leak was (at this point, I knew the ceiling was damaged). He agreed. This would have potentially helped me get the damage taken care of by insurance. When I asked him for the decking picture, he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. We had only discussed it 3 times, the last time being the morning the work began.I'm not about to recommend this company. I'm not ok with the first guy trying to rip me off. I'm not ok with the second guy holding out for more, knowing one of us had to give in at some point, and I was the only one with a hole in the roof. I'm not ok with the second guy's utter disregard for my ability to recoup some amount that might help pay for ceiling repairs that were totally unavoidable (if only the gouger would have let me know the damage was imminent).The ceiling damage is still an issue.

The company will lie to you, just to get a sale. Prices are to high and they will continue to pressure you.

This place is a complete joke! You may see 5 stars and think they are great I fell for it! They are scam artists! When the hurricane came in, I made a phone call. They came out, looked at the roof gave us a quote. We could not get a funding source. Because we don’t have the best credit just gonna throw that Out there, Michael drove away and came back 10 minutes later And told me that he had spoke to other roofing companies that they worked with and gave them my story he stated that he was given the go ahead to get my roof done, no matter what.I even told him our insurance company will decline this because our roof is old. Don’t worry about it is what I was told.. I called four separate times and was told that I would be called back I And was told when I will get back to you. Then I called again and was told because our insurance company declined it that they couldn’t help me. It’s sad that people can look you in the eye and lie to you. My husband and I were told in front of our son that they Would get the money one way or another from us not to worry that our roof would be put On. That is a lie they had no intentions of helping us. So when you see this company, run! They are complete and utter joke!

Do not trust this company. They rather you spend money or use their finance.

They kept trying to push me to do finance instead of using my insurance. I don’t like fast talking salesman. I Felt pressured. I found another roofing company.

The prices are ridiculous. We found a company that was less and did an amazing job. Avoid this company.

Please don't allow this company to do any roofing repairs for you. They will rip you off.

I started working with Curtis J. He was great, communicative, problem solved. Because insurance didn’t want to pay out much after hurricane Helene, I ended up being able to use their financing program which was easy. Everything went pretty smoothly, and Curtis stayed in touch the whole time.I live in the Atlanta area, and was not able to oversee the process. My house is in Augusta that I own. They sent me the certificate of completion, and 2 weeks later called and told me I owed a large amount of money for extra work they had to do. 2 weeks after the project was done! They never called during the process. Never told me there was unforeseen expenses, never gave me a new estimate. I told Curtis to have his manager call me. He called me 3 weeks later to ask for the rest of the money. It feels so scammy and weird.

Signed the contract November 22 of 2024 job was supposed to start in two to three weeks received a text on March 4 2025 that my materials are arriving March 7 2025 after hearing nothing for almost 4 months and the back wall of my home being a waterfall for that time. I demand a refund of my payment of 50%. James proceeded to be a jerk and tell me he's keeping what I paid.We will see.

Absolutely terrible service. Mike has been consistently dragging his feet since October 1, 2025. I call, I text and even contacted the main office. Once in a while he will respond but only to say he doesn't know when he can get me on the schedule. I can't get any responses otherwise or even a quote to fix my roof but yet I'm under contract with them. Since my insurance company is denying a full roof replacement, it appears they want nothing more to do with the job if it isn't more money. And to top it all off, the last time they were here to do a video for my insurance company on repairs, they bent the gutter. Still no response. Don't hire this company if you expect to get something fixed. They only care if you want to have a full roof replacement so they can get more money.

I hired this company to replace the roof on a rental property after Hurricane Helene. While waiting for repairs, I requested a tarp to be installed to prevent further damage from heavy rains forecasted in two days. The Project Manager reassured me—twice—that the tarp would be installed, but it was installed during the rainfall. As a result, the rain caused the drywall to cave in two rooms.The company replaced the roof and repaired the drywall in one room, but despite my repeated requests—six times—for an estimate to fix the additional drywall damage in the second room, I never received one. Each time, I was promised the estimates but was left waiting. Whenever I called the main office to escalate the issue and speak to the Project Manager’s supervisor, I was consistently redirected back to the Project Manager instead.To make matters worse, six weeks later and AFTER they received payment, I discovered they had left pallets of shingles sitting in the front yard. While I understand the workload after a hurricane can be overwhelming, basic customer service, accountability, and communication should never be neglected. I would not recommend them.

I went with them because of all the five-star reviews. Best check those one Stars. what a mistake. Now I'm noticing all the one-star reviews. Very disappointed in their services will never use them again. If only I could attach my pictures and video. When they took out my skylights and Replace the board it didn't fit properly a gap was left and they rolled the tar paper over it. I was recording a video when they rolled the tar paper across the gap.Show the inspector when he came out and he said I would have problems with that later.They put Silicone over the gaps.They know how they done me. You reap what you sow. avoid

Gutter Install that took almost 7 months to complete. We requested a Gutter install Quote on our single story 1500 SF home, they was quick to show up & give a quote but the our contact never returned our calls for 5 weeks, so we call around all over the south east & find out he is no longer with the Buckhead & no one picked up our signed contract. But they apologized & out sourced our job to another business which came on the date promised but left some trim work undone he said he cannot do. So we had to call Buckhead about this unfinished part which they said someone would come & fix which took 3 times before someone shows up. Then we call & ask when the last down spout was going to be finished as one was left out. This last fix took 4 weeks with some no shows in there. OK as for the gutters it turned out like we wanted. However Buckhead has the worst communications, lots of broken appointments & promises, & we had to do all the calling to Buckhead to get this finished. Buckhead did knock off 10% of the bill. However I would NOT recommend Buckhead.

Michael Cain came out and assessed the issue on the roof took pictures and gave us a quote. He was very professional and explained the quote to us. The quote was very reasonable and the work was scheduled within a reasonable time frame. It was very easy to work with this company and I would recommend them to anyone needing roof repair or replacement.

Gave my elderly parents a quote of $26k for a 1000sqft house. Once insurance denied the claim they ghosted my parents. Shady!!!!!! Received quotes from other companies for half the price. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Blake Baggett, who came out to my rental home in Mt. Pleasant, SC, to assess whether an attic fan could be installed. Blake thoroughly inspected both the roof and attic and provided the most honest evaluation I have ever received from a contractor. Instead of trying to upsell me, he pointed out that my rental property already had plenty of insulation, a ridge vent, and radiant barrier foil—everything it needed to stay efficient. Blake took the time to educate me on when an attic fan is actually necessary, ultimately advising that nothing more was needed. His integrity and professionalism were refreshing, and I highly recommend him for any roofing or attic work. It's rare to find such honesty in this industry!

Mr. MckEthan did a great job throughout the entire process of repairing my home. Initially, the insurance company was not going to cover the repairs. However, he was able to quickly get the insurance company to cover the cost of repairing the entire roof. I would recommend not only him, but also the entire hardworking roofing crew, for your next roof repair.

From the beginning of the process until the end. Buckhead Roofing was professional. courteous and efficient. All employees that we dealt with from initial estimate, to scheduling, to the project manager as the work was ongoing to the conclusion of the job was great.

Wish there were 10 stars to rate Buckhead Roofing. Will definitely pass the word of their great service to anyone asking about their commercial work.

Great quick service!A little background: we bought a house and on the inspection sheet it mentioned some screws had been backed out. Called a few places and had other places never get back to me or just didn't show up.Came across Buckhead on Google and gave them a call. John came out right away and within a few minutes had found all the screws that needed attention as well as identifying that the seal on our chimney needed some attention. Once I agreed with the reasonable price, John got up there and had everything fixed quick. He spent some time to go over things to watch for with the roof (my first metal roof home) and even gave me some advice on some carpenter bees that have been bugging us.Overall this was a great experience after having a lot of frustration with the other companies. I would highly recommend Buckhead Roofing and John specifically for any roofing jobs you may need.
